During the
Early Spring Trophy Striper season, we generally find the large stripers moving into the mid-bay
locations
from Chesapeake Beach / Breezy Pt to Cove Pt & Solomon's areas.
Mid-May thru the summer, fishing
the upper and middle bay areas near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
From this time on I fish out of the Magothy River, just north of
the Bay Bridge and South in the Annapolis areas
This location gives us easy access to fishing areas from Annapolis to the Upper Bay/ Rock Hall, Chester River to Baltimore Harbor.
Including the Eastern Shore along Kent Island and the upper Bay areas.
Light Tackle Trolling for Summer Stripers
Generally the fish are
from 20 to 32".
Great for light tackle trolling or jigging with Spin Tackle or
chumming.
I am fishing almost every day, and set the trip based
on best technique to match the catch.

Cownose Ray
The cownose ray grows about 3 feet wide
and is armed with a venomous tail spine.
It feeds along the inshore shelves and
shallow bays of the Atlantic and Gulf
of Mexico, hunting hardshelled mollusks.

Oyster Toadfish
The oyster toadfish is not just a noisy
swimmer, but holds the distinction of
having been to space. Members of the species
— Opsanus tau — traveled to the
space station for tests. Known for the
male's "foghorn" vocalizations,
the oyster toadfish lives in the shallows
of the Atlantic, from Maine to the West

The Atlantic croaker is a common fish
on the East Coast of the United States,
often feeding at the shoreline and migrating
